Record-keeping requirement exemption statement

All persons appearing in any visual portrayal on this Website were over the age of 18 years at the time the image was created.

Exemption — website operators

Visual depictions displayed on Models World that are produced by the operators of the website are exempt from the requirements of 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. 75 because:

  • the depictions do not portray actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct as defined in 18 U.S.C. § 2256(2)(A)(i)–(v); or
  • the depictions do not portray the genitals or pubic area of any depicted person.

Exemption — third-party content

The operators of Models World are not the producers of visual depictions of actual or simulated sexual activity (as defined by 18 U.S.C. § 2257) that appear on the website when posted by third-party users. Operator activities regarding such depictions are limited to transmission, storage, retrieval, and/or hosting of material posted by users in areas under that user’s control. Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 2257(h)(B)(v), operators may remove material they deem inappropriate, inconsistent with internal policies, or in violation of federal law.
